Day 26 of 31 · Peace in Chaos

The Good Father

Central Scripture

"And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him."

Luke 15:20

Reflection

The father in Jesus's story sees his wayward son 'a great way off' — meaning he was watching, waiting, hoping. That is the image of your Father. He has not stopped watching for you. He has not grown impatient. He is waiting with open arms.

Prayer
Father, thank You that You are always watching for me. Help me to stop running and to simply come home. I trust Your welcome. Amen.
