Rest

Reflection

God did not design you to carry everything forever. He created rest — not as a reward for finishing, but as a rhythm for living. You are invited, right now, to come and be still.

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls."

Matthew 11:28-30

"Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation."

Psalm 62:1

"And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest."

Exodus 33:14

"Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee."

Psalm 116:7

"He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters."

Psalm 23:2

"There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his."

Hebrews 4:9-10

"For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength."

Isaiah 30:15

"I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety."

Psalm 4:8

"And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while."

Mark 6:31

"The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing."

Zephaniah 3:17
